lies.

50ish year old women arent as fun as the 30 year olds.

Beg to differ... mine 50ish year old wife is a lot more fun than most 30 yr olds I knew.....  ;)

Saying you're a Carter baby is a little deceiving. I am a Nixon baby but only because I was born in June '74, just a few weeks before he resigned! But it makes me sound more ancient.

Well, I almost was a Reagan baby, I suppose, had I been born seven months later.

I am a Carter baby, as if that should surprise anyone.  ;D

All these guys in their 50s! They say 50 is the new 30...

lies.

I think that is a supposition that needs to be street tested.

There's anecdotal evidence this is true. Women in their 30s are generally in the midst of rearing children. Their libido plummets.

Post-menopausal women OTOH often report a return of energized libido.

The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

Where do these women go to file those reports and during what hours? I might need a wingman...

While she's still a young lass at 47, I can attest to the re-energized libido :)

I was born in '63. My reward was having my first colonoscopy (and without anesthetic - very interesting experience).

What's really strange is that 1963 is the next-to-last year of the Baby Boom, which means I'm in the same age cohort as people born in 1946, who are almost old enough to be my father. Demographics are weird.

Centurion40

A colonoscopy without and anesthetic is also weird, these days.

But I tell ya, the topical anesthetic they give you for bronchoscopies and gastroscopies is really weird.  Well, it freaked me out, anyway.  If I ever have to have another bronchoscopy, I want a general anesthetic!!  :(
Any time is a good time for pie.

DicedT

Yup, we're getting older. We're comparing medical procedures.

Actually, other than a few moments of discomfort, a colonoscopy is interesting. You can watch the journey through your colon (and they give you pictures as souvenirs). It literally looks like a Jacque Cousteau underwater adventure.

Which is why I can claim to be an Eisenhower baby, even though I was born in the last two months of his final term   ;D

Gusington

Both my parents are Truman babies.

To feel really ancient start thinking about what kind of presidential babies your grandparents or great grandparents were if they were born here in the US. My grandparents that I knew were not born here, but if they were, they would have been Wilson and Harding babies!!

Now that's old[e].

My paternal grandmother would have been a Roosevelt baby... Teddy Roosevelt.

I'd be a Kennedy baby, myself, so you must be only about three plus years older than me. Huh.

Depends. I'm 53, but I was born the week before JFK won election and two months before he was inaugurated. So I'm just barely an Eisenhower baby.

Martok

Technically I'm a Ford baby, as I was born December 1976.  How woefully undistinctive.  :-\
