I wouldn't rule it out at some point, but likely will be playing it for under $10 in some future sale:). No regrets returning it but I do hope it turns out well for those that can enjoy it.

Tried the multiplayer on Steam last week.  German side seems to be more difficult, since it takes time to research armor buildings.  Had good luck with a MG42 heavy defense inside structures, while other units cap victory points.  Build a few mortars and engineers with flame throwers to take out light vehicles.. Then research AT gun structure and prepare for the first wave of T-34 tanks. 

With the Soviets found it much easier.  There is one commander that allows 120mm mortar spam every minute.  Build conscripts to cap victory points while getting ready for tanks.  Once the T34 appears you will be able to advance rapidly just keep aware of German AT guns.  Bit of micromanagement required to have engineers repair vehicles when damaged rather than fight until destroyed.

Blizzard can be an opportunity to infiltrate enemy areas. Use a half track to bring transport troops to cap resource nodes or recover enemy hardware. If you find unattended AT gun, HMG, or mortar then capture it.. PITA to have a previously secure area suddenly light up with enemy infantry attacks.  Without a mobile reserve often the enemy will have captured the point and moved on by the time your infantry get there.

The $60 price-tag makes me choke a bit...  But I guess this is the 'new normal' for the AAA titles.  Dropping $120 on this and Rome 2 -- as seems inevitable -- ...that ain't cheap.

Still, there's just no way I can't not buy CoH2 on Day 1.

I would love to know what they meant by slow hand......where they trying to imply the game had a slower more controlled feel?  It could be just me, but when playing the beta still seemed very fast and chaotic.  Looking at threads in other forums where people played it, the comments were pretty consistent of it being fast.  But maybe I am just misunderstanding what is meant by the quote.  Either way, I think if you were a fan of the prior games in the series, you'll for sure like it. 

As mentioned before, possibly for the right price during a future sale, I'll pick it up again...

Ah -- K.  I see the 20% Off code.  (Maybe 25% off was a 'limited time offer'?) -- no matter.  $48 for CoH2 is better than $60 any day of the week.

There are some nice deals under this weekend's "War Deals" promo.  Anyone interested in Theatre of War 2 -- IMO an underrated series -- should check these out.  I"m seriously tempted by Iron Front Liberation '44 at $6.79, although I understand the single-player is lack-luster, and I'm not really an online player --
