Some of you are in the midst of a long weekend for America's birthday.  To those of you who are, I say :P, I gotta work today.  But, when I get home, there will be gaming goodness awaiting me!  It'll be the usual suspects, Civ IV BTS MP and whatever else strikes my fancy.  And that itch that can't be scratched in public (no, not THAT itch), the AAR itch, is getting scratchy again.  Not sure if or what I will do, but we'll see.

Bought XCOM: EU during the GreenMan 666 sale this week fer about $10, includes main game and both DLC's. Been playing that and will continue this weekend. Fun, interesting game so far.

Impatiently waiting for CiV Brave New World to unlock.... Come on July 9th!!!!

Also playing new iOS game - War of the Zombie. Somewhat like XCOM but with zombies. Lots of bugs but still fun. First patch is due out soon.

This weekend will probably involve playing Minecraft now that the 1.6 patch is out.  Also I want to possibly start a new campaign in Shogun II or Crusader Kings II.  Oh and there is the Far Cry 3 campaign I want to finish.......

I've got another playtest design I'm goign to monkey around with.  Still searching for that perfect and elusive civ/city builder that's a 90-minute, multi-player, low-overhead game.

Tonight I might jump on BF3 for some online stuff (I've only got 7 hours under my belt online for that bad boy!) or Far Cry 3

Tomorrow is the final British and Irish Lions test game against the Wallabies. It's 1-1 on a 3 test tour - so this is the big bugger! COME ON YOU LIONS! I'll be drinking obviously so no gaming is likely to get done.

Sunday I'm going for KA-50 - I really need to get the trim worked out. I can now take off from cold (albeit with a startup sheet), but flying it I'm kind of all over the place! I might also do another flight in FSX for my Air Hauler company - just to keep the money ticking over.

I'll also "convalesce" by painting my 1/35 Scale Challenger II ( I did actually get some done last week but progress is slow - there are ALOT of fiddly wee bits!)

And that will do me.

I'll be playing some Distant Worlds (finishing my last game and then installing Shadows which I grabbed yesterday).

Probably some more of my Brothers vs Brothers ETW game.. though the frequent crashes do piss me off with that one..

And if the right combinations of people are on tonight, maybe continue some Warlock MP tonight!

A bit of dom 3-ing but most games have been stalled til after the weekend because you americans are setting off fireworks or something

and definitely some Shogun-ing (downloading FOTS) and some Wargame:ALB, as long as i can avoid a team partner calling me 'a nipple covered f***tard' again!

And off the parental leash i may also be Sim HQ-ing with Iron Front

I'm up to my ankles in Mujahedin and Iranians over in Afghanistan.  My Soviet reactionary force is steadily advancing in a GT: Shield of the Prophet campaign. However, casualties are steadily mounting.  I had a rough series of contacts in the dark of night and early morning hours that really hurt the tip of my spear.  Reserves were released in the South, so hopefully opening up an advance on a new front will take some of the pressure off.

Anyway, it will be questionable how much gaming I get done this weekend.  My mom is leaving today and so its going to be a long weekend of wifey and me alone with the baby...might end up playing the diaper changing DLC...
