Thanks -- believe me, I want to get it working.  I'm sure once I can get it to be stable I'll get some enjoyment out of it.

Still, from what I've experienced so far, I'm kind of resigned to the fact that CoH2 disappoints, and it will be up to the modders to create a better experience.  It's just hard to see where the sequel represents any kind of evolution over the the original.  It frankly doesn't even look that much different.  It's marginally nicer looking, yes, but not dramatically better -- which is fine, I guess, since I still think the original looks great, but again, it's a bit of a letdown.  And I can't shake the feeling that the vehicles & tanks have a slightly cartoon-ish look that the original definitely did not have.   

If CoH2 represents someone's first foray into the CoH franchise, then I can certainly understand why they would consider it a an enjoyable game.  But for those who played a lot of CoH original, I think you're apt to have a "Wait, that's all there is??" kind of reaction.

I think the bigger issue is that we've already bought everything. Sure, a few games will pop up which I really want, but most of the back catalog has already been picked through during previous sales.

I already own nearly all the titles I want, which are on these sales.  Even some that I wasn't terribly interested in playing anytime soon!

It's not that we are running out of interesting titles.. it's that I already own most of 'em.  There is quite a lot of good games out there, but it's never enough is it?  :D 

If we're lacking anything, it's the time available to play all of them.

If there on sale I say get them. I really enjoyed both Dawnguard and Dragonborn. Some felt Dawnguard was too short but I feel like I got my $20 worth from it.

I see Sins of a Solar Empire Rebellion on sale for $13.59. Hope it doesn't go any lower because I think I'm going to breakdown and get it tonight when I get home. And after that I;m just going to close my eyes and turn away. Don't have a lot of spare cash to be spending this month.

..........unless CK2 the Old Gods goes on sale of course  ;)

I really really enjoyed Dawnguard. Haven't played Dragonborn yet.

BTW Bioshock Infinite is on sale at Green Man Gaming (Steam code) for 29.99...finally. I'll be purchasing it later if the markdown doesn't disappear.

They must be getting a huge amount of traffic. The 'rest of the world' release of Civ 5 Brave New World probably isn't helping things either.

Can someone indulge me in a couple of very newbish Skyrim questions:

1. Does the world / enemies level up with you as in Oblivion?

2. Is the character leveling-up system still the arcane one used in Oblivion (where like you shouldn't run too much because you might accidentally level up -- what a pain in the arse) -- ?

3. If you haven't played it at all yet -- worth dropping $36 on? (I can guess the answer,but still...)
