Was just going to ask if anyone had played it recently. I know it had a lack luster release but now that its been out for a few months how is it?
As the 1.13 patch was finally released, I just started a new game today, so I can't comment yet.  Much will depend on how the AI behaves, and whether it still feels like a typical RTS click-fest.

Martok, I'll be curious to hear your impressions -- I couldn't resist picking it up at $10 but know there's still a lot of debate about how playable / 'finished' the game is.


Also -- Eador Masters of the Broken World at $12 --  takers?

Just saw Kerbal Space Program only $13....cheapest I have seen it in a long time....might finally be the time for me to jump in.

So far I've mostly bought "fringe" games for myself, stuff that I normally wouldn't take a chance on or that isn't necessarily my style, like Euro Truck Simulator 2, Universe Sandbox, I Am Alive, Deadlight and NBA2k2013. I've dropped under $30 and I might get some entertainment out of a couple of them.

I'm not sure which version of the game you've been playing, but one thing Stardrive has never been is an "RTS click-fest," and I've been playing since alpha.

No, I signed up twice and no email from them, never followed up. Hoping someone else has better luck and post the texture pack online.
It's not totally terrible as is, doesn't kill the immersion for me which is what i judge the graphics by, of course i've never been a graphics wh**e ...maybe because i've never had a cutting edge system.

I posted some screenshots from the game in the screenshot thread for example of what it looks like un-modded.

OK, I have to ask.  What is the point of the trading cards?  Are they of any use at all?  I've been selling the ones I've received for .25-.30¢ and I can't understand why anyone would actually buy them, but they seem to sell.

I would be interested to know this as well.  Seems like some sort of gimmick by STEAM but I don't want to waste the time to figure it out. :)

I was curious enough to look. 

It's some Steam achievement crap.  If you match the whole set you get some lame Steam badge.  I'm surprised the things are selling much - there must be some bigtime Steam fanboys out there.  :o
