I have this dream of turning England into the premier continental land power. One where France has been completely wiped from the annals of history. Things like an overseas empire can be done after the European continent is completely subservient to me.  ;)

Maybe that was little over the top.....

I may also start as Austria. The Venetians were giving me a hard time in the demo and I want pay pack vs the Venetian AI.  >:(

I'm going for Castille with a strong emphasis on religion and exploration.  Someone has to bring the True Faith to the heathen savages.  Then there's the 7 cities of gold.....Phoenix, Tucson, Las Vegas......

It has... a bit earlier than usual, even.  I folded at the last minute and pre-ordered last night (with about 11 hours to go before release). 

The wish should be:  Hopefully Steam didn't bungle the release up and post the wrong (older) version.  That happens with some regularity these days.  :o

Looking at Paradox forums, everything seems ok. Many seem to think it is very polished like CK2. Some don't like one change or another but seems to be a smooth release.

...and in the game.   ;)   RPS are very positive about it in their review: http://www.rockpapershotgun.com/2013/08/13/wot-i-think-europa-universalis-iv/  I have only played a bit so far - the map looks lovely - it's nice seeing the little hills symbolising the Pennines running down the centre of England.  There also seem to be a lot of options with regards to diplomacy etc.  I only hope I can give this title the time it deserves!
