What Cable TV News Network Do You Watch?

I am pretty much sick with all the regular choices...CNN, Fox, NBC, etc. All are biased and make me nauseous. So who do you watch? Is there a serious, no BS network available out there? No Al Jazeera America please, because that's just not happening.

When i do watch TV news, I usually watch either the BBC news or Newshour on PBS. I know they have their own biases (sp?) but at least they are not as infotainment-y as the others.

I have a hard time really watching any of them. However, if you flip through them all and watch the same story reported on each channel the truth usually lies somewhere in the middle. That being said I try to get most of my news from online where I can look for articles that just have the facts with none of this patronizing analysis from both sides that all the talking heads use.

I usually get most of my news online as well. PBS and BBC are just fallbacks during fast breaking stories such as Boston Bomber manhunts.

I get my news from a variety of sources, but one of the first things you have to do is figure out which programs are news and which are entertainment.

Chris Mathews' Hardball is entertainment. So is O'Reilly. There are hard news programs on both CNN and Fox, but they aren't playing in prime time.

Try DVRing the 2 PM time slot on CNN for news. I'm not sure about Wolf Blitzer at the 6 PM slot.

Try DVRing Studio B at 3 PM on Fox. For analysis DVR Brett Baier on Fox at 6 PM.

Watch a few episodes of those and see what you think.

I enjoy Morning Joe most days (I'll turn off the gun control debates) but otherwise I'll check out BBC America if I'm jonesing for cable news of some sort. I watch NBC Nightly news when I'm actually home for the news, but that's getting more and more rare these days.

I am with the group that does not watch any of them. The exception is during a major event that requires real-time information. Otherwise I depend on on-line sources. I stay away from Fox and MSNBC. The blatent leanings of those sources are too much to take. All you have to do is look at the ads on the websites.

I also agree that too much of it is entertainment. Commentary is not news.

When I do watch it is usually CNN. I like the BBC for a non-US perspective.

I did watch CNN but it's unwatchable to me now. NBC Nightly News I used to watch daily but just don't have the time now. I thought maybe BBC America but that is a sad commentary on American news broadcasts. And being in front of a computer all day monitoring local news for work turns me off to doing it at home.

Yes, I seriously watch RT. As long as they aren't reporting on Russia, they have a lot of decent news and opinon that gives a different POV from the regurgitated talking points you get on US cable news.

Mostly, I ge my news from the radio and the net though.

I'll say it again.

Stay out of prime-time programming. DVR the programs mid-day. They're the true news focus. Anything on after 7 PM is going to be mostly op/ed.

I went to college with a guy and that was all he watched for his news sources. He "claimed" he knew they were comedy but it was the only way to get the news for real..... ::)

The tipping point here honestly has been the last few days of Erin Burnett's show...it just makes me ill. The Wife even agreed with me, which is rare.
