I was just devastated when LB let slip the truth about the Easter Bunny. Now, for me, April is the cruelest month.

Quit cryin' or I'll tell you about Leprechauns next
All that is gold does not glitter,
Not all those who wander are lost;
The old that is strong does not wither,
Deep roots are not reached by the frost.

This was my desktop, and it's been this way for more than two years now. The background, anyway.

This thread has made me realize a change was in order, so here is the new one:

Ya know, that mail-clad girl isn't necessarily faked, she could have just been "x-rayed" like they do on certain...communities of lower moral fibre than this fine establishment. ;)

Banzai, what's that second picture from?  Reminds me of Zoids!

TheCommandTent

Mine has been this way for a while and I really should clean up some the icons on the desktop.

Martok

That's damn cool wallpaper, TCT.  Where'd you find that at?

Photoshop a couple of brass gears into one of the corners for some Steampunk cred and you'll be fine.

Dambuster!

Is that one of the Canadian crews?

Yeah.  I live on the edge.

Silent Disapproval Robot

I'm not sure which aircraft this is supposed to represent but the artist did make some mistakes.  Looking at the lettering surrounding the roundel, it appears as though the first letter is P, but the Lancs that conducted the raid were from 617 Squadron which had the call letter prefix code of "AJ".  Assuming the artist got the code mixed up and the plane in the picture is supposed to be "AJ-P" then that would make it Harold Martin's plane.  It was one that attacked the Mohne dam but missed the target.

Another mistake is that the two Lancs in the painting both have a mid-upper turret.  These turrets were removed as one of the many modifications made to the planes for the Dambuster mission.   The planes in the painting look like Lancaster B mk IIIs.  The ones used on the raid were given the modificaiton code of Type 464.

Arctic Blast

I have about 20 rotating desktop backgrounds. Here's the current one :

GDS_Starfury

it must suck reformatting that pc SDR.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Silent Disapproval Robot

It wasn't too bad last time around.  Took maybe 4 hours?
