I saw Keaton, Kilmer and Clooney do their turns as Batman as each movie came out.  I haven't seen any of the newer ones.  And I liked Keaton.  AND I had seen Mr. Mom beforehand.

Christian Bale is a pompous ass, but he plays Batman better than all of them, combined. And I'm a big Michael Keaton fan - I think he's a fantastic actor (see My Life and One Good Cop). Batman Begins will blow you away if you haven't seen any of the Bale versions yet.

After Keaton, the whole franchise became a farce. I have issues with the original Keaton movies too, but I ain't gonna get into all that.

The first Batman was decent. The second one started the death spiral to stupid (legions of goddamn penguins with rocket launchers...good grief). The third could best be described as crap. Jim Carrey in full-on obnoxious mode, and Tommy Lee Jones decided to try to out-ham him. It should be burned with fire.

And then there is the fourth. Batman & Robin is in the running for worst movie that I have ever seen. It apparently went through about 7 million re-writes by 3,564 writers. Every single cast member knows that they are in a steaming pile of crap. They have the dead eyes of a stripper as they are forced to speak the wretched, wince-inducing dialogue. And since half the movie budget was bankrolled by toy companies who wanted more crap to sell, we have 79 major characters shoehorned in to this atrocity. Oh, and an underlit purple Batmobile...and armour with nipples. From top to bottom just an execrable piece of crap that is so bad that it isn't even worth watching as a joke.

^ nice synopsis of the series.
"45 minutes of pooping Tribbles being juggled by a drunken Horta would be better than Season 1 of TNG." - SirAndrewD

"you don't look at the mantelpiece when you're poking the fire" - Bawb

"Can't 'un' until you 'pre', son." - Gus

GDS_Starfury

Read my sig line AB.   ;)
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I rewatched Batman Begins today. It was the best of that trilogy IMHO. I know most people think TDK was better.

Some good news for LB here:  Matt Damon (possibly) as Aquaman!

Any time is a good time for pie.

I dunno...I'd believe Cage as Batman before I'd believe him as Superman.

Steelgrave

LOL at Peter Dinklage as Batman. Nice. It's worth noting that the legions of obnoxious fanbois who are having hissy fits over Affleck as Batman are the same ones who were going nuts when it was announced that Heath Ledger would play The Joker. Most would agree that Ledger somehow muddled through the role  ::)

And am I the only one who hears the Aflak duck in my head anytime Ben Affleck's name is mentioned? Yeah, probably.....

Bison

I just hope they don't do a cross over series with Marvel.  Ben might have issues.

A Batman-Daredevil crossover?  You'd never see it coming!

I'd rather see Captain Batman.
