Sadly it looks like there is very limited tactical combat in the game, characters just stand next to each other and shoot, and don't even fall down when hit, only when dead. I was hopping for something more like jagged alliance 2 where you have to use real world tactics like kneel or go prone for cover, etc. First the X-com remake and now this, well we every see a game like Jagged Alliance 2 again?

Looks like it's more focused on leading you through a story-driven campaign.

Have they announced how much it will cost on release?  It's obviously not an open sandbox style of RPG so I'd hope that they put an assload of time into content, or else make it very affordable.

And to be honest, that's what I was hoping for.....I don't want this to be a JA2-like tactical combat simulator that will take an hour to work through one combat.  Just my opinion....I want a story driven Wasteland 2.

You think combat is better in the x-com remake vs the original? Combat didn't take an hour in the original X-com there's no reason it should take that long in Wastland 2, I just want something a little more realistic with tactical options like kneel, prone and have characters/NPC's fall down when shot. I hope Wastland 2 is something more than a short, linear story with limited gameplay like Shadowrun Returns.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder....yes, I very much enjoyed the new Xcom's tactical combat (the Xcom from last year) much more than the old original Xcom.  One thing I learned from GOG (and this is just my experience) is that these very old dos games that I loved when they were new just don't do it for me any more. I dabble with them and enjoy the memory but I quickly go back to the newer stuff.  But I do see your point and have to agree that things like kneel, prone, etc. would be better, I just want a compelling story that isn't constantly interrupted with hours of detailed, tactical combat.
