He didn't try to trade Vera to Christina Hendricks, he tried to trade Vera for Christina Hendricks. ;D
Her character's name was Saffron and it was the first of two or three episodes she was in IIRC.

Love that episode. Jayne seems like he's ready to threaten Mal with it then talks about Vera so lovingly and how much the gun means to him then says he wants to swap for Saffron. Mal suggests it's hardly a fair deal and Jayne agrees suggesting Vera's worth much more lol. Both episodes with Christina in it are my favourites.
