Thanks for posting this, I'd forgotten it was happening.

I watched a 60-Minutes report on this a while back. Some pretty serious engineering went into the entire process. From what I saw I figured they had a 50-50 chance of the entire ship just ripping in 2 as they tried to roll it. Glad they came up on the good side of that.

I'll set my PVR for the Discovery special.

Have not looked through the links, but wasn't the biggest parbuckling the Oklahoma at Pearl Harbor?

Oklahoma was 35,000 tons and needed rotating 180 deg., Costa Concordia was 114,000 tons and needed rotating 90 deg.
