Fall Weiss from Wasteland Interactive.... yay?

Man...I seem to be putting up a lot of mean posts today, but it's not really intended that way...

With that introduction, since I first read about this game, I'm still not sure what this brings to the table that DC doesn't have?

Any insights?

Fall Weiss is a first game of the series but the last one on this engine.
We are currently porting it and will be releasing our games also on mobile devices.

Bitter Glory has been suspended some time ago, and Strategic War in Europe was completely different game.


We are working on Worlds of Magic now indeed, and this will be a great 4X strategy.

However Fall Weiss will miss Matrix version.

For last couple of months I have been busy with Worlds of Magic mostly.

However we didn't forgot about Fall Weiss.
The game is constantly patched and updated.
Recently 1.07 patch has been released.


On Monday we have put the game on greenlight trying to get it on Steam.

What's standing out for me is that one of those screenshots is actually showing a swastika flag for Germany. I'm a little surprised at that. I applaud the accuracy and that they did not choose to use something like an Iron Cross, but surely that will be taken out for distribution in Europe, right?

Strategic War in Europe is a fun game, but the English in it was poorly written. It could have used a good re-write overhaul.

I think there might be some problems in Germany only.

The game has been released in Poland (retail) and we haven't got any issues.

However if a German government or German ministry of hiding the historical truth will forbid to distribute the game with Swastika, we will replace it with a cross for Germany.

I think that very very quick a "historical accuracy" mod will be available at our forum ;)

Man, those three free game codes went quick! -- probably just as well, I have a huge game backlog anyway. But obviously I'm interested in seeing impressions from new players. While the WW2 market is saturated, I like the concentrated doomed heroic last-stand theme of this game, and it has some obvious differences from the Decisive Campaigns engine and some other early Nazi-zergrush scenario games. ;)

Whether those differences are good or bad I don't know, but I liked what I read and saw in the original screenies and description. (Or I wouldn't have posted them.  8) )

As far as I'm aware there is only a law against showing the Swastika in Germany
