I have found that, for me, the perfect way to enjoy F1: 2012 is to have manual braking but automatic transmission.  I've done it with manual transmission as well, but not having to fiddle with guessing which gear to get into is more "fun" at the sacrifice of a bit of realism.

That sounds like a good idea which takes Judge's suggestion a little bit further.  Although automatic is not as fun to drive as manual I have noticed my problems going into the turns seem to be deciding when and how hard to brake as well as how many times to downshift.  If I've managed to make the turn I then usually blow it coming out of the apex by punching the gas too strong too early causing the car to spin.

If you are spinning under breaking going into a turn (either on the straight or at the beginning of the turn) then perhaps move brake bias to the front. I think softening rear springs might help too.

I have to be honest, with rFactor 2 I simply don't see the point in F1 anymore. It looks better than rFactor 2 imo - but for me racing sims are all about the feel - and rFactor 2 is hard to beat in that department - imo.

Thanks Barth.  I've got some decorations to throw up to man the BCC up a little.  I'm also considering how to construct a swiveling platform to place under the Lazy Boy in order to facilitate better access.

Bob.  I've fallen asleep in that chair many, many times.  It's one of the many reasons I prefer TBS strategy games to RTS.  8)
