^IIRC Nefaro stated that for now WOFF is strictly Western Front. But I would love some of the above.

Haha, so much for my 23 years of flight sim experience.

On my very first mission, I was assigned as flight leader of a two-plane flight of E.III's on a combat patrol over no-man's land.

Flying at about 3,000 meters, I spot a Nieuport 11 about 1,000 meters below. I look back and my wingman was gone! I frantically start looking for him, wondering whether he had dived down to attack the "Bebe". I finally spot him flying away towards the direction of our aerodrome. The cowardly bastard abandoned me!

So, as I'm thinking this over, and trying to talk myself into not attempting to take on a Nieuport 11 all alone on my first mission. Meanwhile, as I periodically check over my shoulders, I see the Nieuport 11 breaking hard into me!

Takakakakakaka, and my machine is disabled. I point my nose to the NE in an attempt to reach German lines. The French pilot dives to finish me off, and I try to evade, but am not successful. He pumps more bullets into me, and I plummet to the ground from about 500 ft.

1 mission, one death. Guess I'm a little rusty!  ;D

  I have no WOFF experience, but the E.III in RoF is pretty flimsy.  Apparently most of the victims of the Fokker scourge were planes like the
BE-2c -- very slow and not very nimble.  The FE-2b -- at least in RoF -- has no trouble killing E.IIIs.  I think by the time the Nieuport was widely available the Fokker scourge was coming to an end.

That's precisely why I looked to make sure that my wingman was still with me. I would have felt comfortable taking on a lone Nieuport 11 with a wingman, but not without one.

I should have climbed and not have taken my eyes off the Nieuport. "Lose sight, lose the fight" is a very old and wise saying.

I was reading a story by someone over at the official forums and was pretty cool....after a flight, he had to force land his plane.  After he landed, the enemy pilot continued to shoot at him on the ground and ended up killing him....reminds me of the scene from the movie Flyboys:)

More news on future add-ons, looks like zeppelins will make an appearance at some point...here is the post from the developer.

Yes the Gotha and Zep will be coming in an addon pack as part of the WW1 attacks on London and envirions...

Again you will get the craft and the squads and the campaign play and skins etc to live through these events.

No date set yet.

And yes others are planned.

Pretty neat that little things like this can happen....

I've made a few emergency landings and if there were enemy pilots on my tail, they'd circle around and start strafing me.  :D  Sometimes they would give up in short order and leave, other times they'd make multiple passes in order to kill me.

FYI the vendor who sent me the bad CFS3 DVD has replaced it at no charge, shipping or otherwise. Actual WOFF game disk has not arrived yet though.

Good deal...hopefully the actual game disk makes it your way soon.  I know the vendor said orders would go out slowly over the holiday so no idea how long it might take.  Not sure if they send out tracking info too to give you any clue as to whether it was sent or not.  I know some of the people did get them since they had pictures of the box, but I think they ordered right away when it first came out.

I need to check out the site, but I think it may be another couple of weeks. I will DEFINITELY be getting the expansion that includes attacks on London, zeppelins, etc.
