The Internet Archive, the non-profit digital library which provides permanent storage of and free public access to collections of digitized media, has opened the Console Living Room consisting of collection of console video games from the '70s and '80s, the organization announced on its blog.

As an expansion of the Historical Software Collection, the library currently includes games from Atari's Atari 2600 (1977), The Atari 7800 ProSystem (1986), Coleco Industries' ColecoVision (1982) and the Magnavox Odyssey² (1978) and Midway's Astrocade (1983).

Never had a console myself.  I'll have to give some of the games a try, just don't know if I'll be able to handle to retro graphics....

would love to see the Intellivision games in there.

Sea Battle, some old D&D-branded games, NASL soccer...  that would the bomb.

People forget what a relatively robust game Sea Battle was, too

I loved that Intellivision D&D game.  You pressed this button and it clicked how many arrows you had left and you had to count really quickly!

I played that game to death when I was a kid.  I always laugh when Ghostryder goes on one of his RPG-bashing rampages, when I think about how Skyrim compares to that game, and how far I've come in my gaming since I was a kid.  Yeah, Skyrim like totally sucks, man...LOL.

NASLA soccer was before my time.  How about Sensible Soccer?  That was a real gem

I actually played Intellivisions D & D"s licensed Treasure of Tarmin on the level where you have 12 dungeons X 12 dungeons all the way to the bottom. It took me all day, there was no save game back then. Probably why I never became a doctor.
