As the title suggests, what is your favorite WWII tactical level PC game?

Combat Mission: Battle for Normany. There is nothing that compares in realism or just plan awesomeness.

Favorite? Hard to say.

Steel Panthers is certainly right up there. Be sure to check out both the Matrix and the Shrapnel versions.

Combat Mission, as Bison notes, is awesome.

The Close Combat re-releases from Matrix certainly deserve to be placed in the list.

Panzer Command from Matrix is also good, but not my fave.

This is a fun game, but the infantry modelling really annoys me to no end.

I've always enjoyed John Tiller's Campaign Series as well as CM.

CM seems like the crowd favorite. Does it require a kick@55 PC? As Longblade can attest to, my laptop is not a gaming PC.

What are the spec's on your laptop? Here are the system requirements. Not super demanding honestly for low to medium detail.
