I can live with that. Six seasons is a good run. If we're lucky, we'll get a TV movie or two after.

Haven't seen it yet. Ep 2 was pretty good. I liked the reference to Riding the Rap, one of Elmore Leonard's Raylan novels.

^That was not the end I was expecting for Danny-boy. Not that I was in anyway expecting him to make it through the season.

This has been an interesting season. Lots of different stories being played out. The road Ava has been forced down is not what I saw for her character.

The Dickie Bennett scene was gold.

Question for you guys - what is the marshal service for that the police and fbi can't do

Their primary role is (1) to hunt and capture escaped prisoners, (2) protect the federal judiciary, and (3) transport federal prisoners. The FBI is primarily investigative while police departments are local law enforcement limited by boundaries. That's my understanding backed up by Google-fu.

Interestingly enough, a marshal may also deputize a citizen in an emergency. That traces back to old West days and as far as I know is unique to the Marshal's service among Federal agencies.
