Storm Over The Pacific - any good?

I agree completely, but when all is said and done, I had some fun with the game. I was able to play out the Pacific theater of WW2 without the immense complexity of games like War in the Pacific. Yes, the naval aspect was lacking but it's easy to learn and get into and for $1.00 even if you only get a few days of fun out of it, well, it was worth it.

Luckily I bought it with Blue Coins so I didn't lose anything.
It runs ok unpatched. Patch it to 1.14 and it cashes on start.

Caveat Emptor.

Does anyone have The Gamers Gate 1.11 patch? (not the Matrix Version) The link is down and it appears there is nowhere else online hosting it.

I think the crash may be something to do with the 1.14 patch being screwed up and apparently it only has some minor updates (a launcher and Polish updates).

I have the Gamersgate 1.11 game on my drive. That was the version I downloaded so I don't have the patch. If you only need a single file, maybe I can find a way to send it to you. The main executable is a little over 2 meg and there are some other files that may have changed with 1.11 (have dates in 2012).

Well the Gamers Gate version vanilla download in now only version 1.0. That sucks. Thanks for the offer. I'll see if I can get the patch somehow before I start copying files over. Thanks anyhow!

Well after reading all of the comments here I'm going to stay away, even at the one dollar price tag. I've got way too much backlog anyway and don't want to lose time on a game that just isn't captivating enough. I did buy Time of Fury way back when and played it for about 2 or 3 hours before never visiting it again. Shame really but..eh.

Personally I refer to it as being too much of a bargain hunter to refrain from deals like that. ;)

Back on topic, I purchased Storm Over The Pacific sometime back and I am ashamed to say that I paid more than $1 for it. I haven't even played it yet!
