Anyone using one?  With yet another site getting hacked (e.g., Kickstarter) I'm seriously considering getting one and using it.  Right now, my current password tracking method is getting way too cumbersome (an encrypted Word file with 80+ entries :o, especially as recently I've tried to modify passwords to be longer, more complex, etc).  Just from doing a quick internet browse, Lasspass and Keepass seem to be possible contenders...

p.s. Here is a PC Mag article that covers some of the "best" password managers.

My problem is that I access sites with so many different devices it would be a real pain to have a special program for each one, some of which I don't even own (such as at work). I have an iPad, Android tablet, iPhone3GS (soon to be upgraded to a 5 or 5S), iPhone 3G (just a glorified iPod now) iMac, MacBook, 3 different desktop PCs, 1 Laptop PC, 1 ChromeBook, and possible a few more I left out. I don't use all of them all the time but it would still be a pain keeping them synced.

Keypass is good. I'm just not good about using it.

I used to use pen and paper to keep track of all my passwords but then I switched to using Quickoffice on my Android phone.  It has an excel type program that I use to setup a table with all my passwords from my various devices.  The file is not encrypted but I use a combination of gibberish that has meaning to me and Armenian words to keep track of which password goes with which site.  I even use silly cue words for both misdirection and help in remembering some passwords.  If anyone ever steals my phone and get's a hold of this file they will need to first understand my nonsensical use of words and then translate Armenian into English and then figure out why I chose those words to represent a site or a password.

I have used roboform for years...love it.  I have just used on desktop but supports all device types.

I just use Guslover69 on every non-critical site.
on the important one it's MirthsMyBitch.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

Maybe I'll just scratch my passwords on a piece of wood and bury it in my back yard.

I tattoo my passwords on the back of a specially trained and flexible dwarf.  As an added bonus In the event of a hack they will toss themselves at the hacked device thus disabling it and providing me amusement at the same time

We got a heads up on this at work. I've never felt good about password management tools.

Greybriar

I use a spiral paper memo pad to jot my passwords down in. It isn't as convenient as using a software program but there isn't any danger of it being hacked.

I think you have to be crasy to trust some unkown code with all your passwords.

Exactly!  While I'd love to use something like LastPass, I've never been able to bring myself to actually follow through; just too many hackers out there.  I do something like Greybriar except I use an MS Word file that I password protect.  I keep both an electronic copy and a hardcopy tucked away...

Boggit

Symantec have offered a free one for Norton 360 owners. I haven't used it yet as a lot of my PW's are already quite cryptic, and I don't store them on my computer. Even so it seems a good idea, and a sensible discipline to use them.
