now I also have to give props to another funny movie, but will save further info on that one for pics!

so on to pic three of our black and white masterpiece....the movie with mr roosevelt in it!

edward everett horton, the voice of aesop's fables, he also was part of the ensemble cast that played in several fred astaire ginger rogers movies

note: the first rogers\astaire pairing, rogers and was more of a bit part player than the lead, but their onscreen chemistry and her dance skills were unparalelled, she being the only dancer ever to be able to keep pace with the master!

now the really fun part - our funnniest movie ever made

movie features three " presidents"  the first pic depicts Roosevelt! teddy that is

the second and this one features abraham lincoln, AT LEAST this actor, Raymond Massey played lincoln in one of his signature roles

dont peek too hard at massey on the bios, there is  agreat sci fi movie that massey also played in that is considered highly prophetic

in our funny movie, one of the recurring jokes is:   "jeez, this guy looks like BORIS KARLOFF!"

THE THIRD PRES? you guys that can count ask......Horton's character draws a disapproving glare from teddy R ... horton, a thin man is leaning back and sticking out his belly with a large overcoat on,  teddy asks who's he.....the reply,   TAFT!

guys the buildup is killing me.....netflix will wonder what the run is on this when its revealed!

THE FUNNIEST MOVIE EVER MADE, sat in the can for three years!

the dealio is, to make the movie, the studio had to cut a deal, with the broadway producer and playwright

this movie, based on a play was to use two of the main characters actual broadway actors in the production, The deal was the studio had to wait till the plays run ended.

the movie was filmed, and in the can, THREE YEARS BEFORE THE PLAYS RUN ENDED ON BROADWAY!!!!!

even then it was one of the most popular movies of its time

oh man Casablanca was GREAT!

the original aspect ratio was used and it was not a widescreen flick, all soundstage originally, it was shown on a tall dang screen

much like casa, this thing just rolls and rolls along with the most wonderful dialogue and dry humor as well as flat out funny stuff too!

everybody should netflix this or just get one out of the 5 dollar bin as wally world


since we are on a comedy roll, lets spread a little butter on it with a modern hilariously funny movie that just celebrated a milestone anniversary with a special re-release DVD set

now dont be too mezmerized by the boobage, THIS SHOULD BE REALLY EASY, A PERIOD PIECE!
