Well you don't have to wait until next weeks episode for the answer because I was too busy playing Dark Souls 2 this week and probably all this weekend as well!

Lot's of Rome II

and a X-Plane flight from Lebanon NH to Portsmouth .. like x-plane more and more, may have to get some more add on planes..

Since Grim brought it up in another thread, I'm playing Draft Day Sports: College Basketball 3 by Wolverine Studios. It's great playing while the NCAA tournament is on in the background. It's a management sim and not a button mashing fest. There's even a demo and mods to make the game more immersive.

I ended up doing some Great Battles of Alexander last night, but I may start up a Great Battles of Hannibal campaign soon, instead. Glad GOG hosted the Collection, even though there are still a couple minor OS issues that pop up. Some of my favorite turn-based wargaming. :D

Now a shout out to Kushan for some EUIV MP. It is 1509. He is France and I am Castile. I'm sure he's wondering a little why I haven't formed Spain yet. Really just following what interests me right now. Forming colonies. And seeing how to improve my income. And force limits. And naval morale. And so on.

What I really like about this game is there is almost always something to do. Yes, there are times where you just crank up the speed and let time pass, but I find that too often, I am doing or anticipating or fighting or sending diplomats and on and on and on. And, thanks to the nature of the game and the fine story AAR's that some of our fellow Grog's have put on this site, I can hear the story as it unfolds. Seriously want to AAR this myself, but I want to tell the story too and I am not sure I can do that. Plus, it's time consuming to write and that leaves less time to play ;)

As MD said, where in 1509. I recently got done annexing Scotland, and have fought 2 more wars with England to break off all of its vassal/annexed countries. I then turned around and vassalized all 3 of them myself (Northumbria, Wales, and Cornwall). I'm currently fighting my 6 or 7th war against England (I didn't start this one). My allies in Ireland decided they wanted to invade England and I was all to willing to help out. By now I have occupied all of England, but England's allies Pomerania, Brandenburg, and Sweden have all landed troops in France, which is completely wide open as I have all 60,000 of my troops in England. I'm currently gathering my fleet in Brittany. Assuming the AI doesn't combine the fleets blockading France and Scotland into a death stack, should be able to overwhelm each enemy fleet individually.

Since the latest patch I have noticed that England under the AI seems to be a lot weaker. Conacht on Ireland has taken the whole island in every game I have played, and England itself seems to have trouble dealing with rebel armies spawning constantly.

I am the Papal Controller in my single player game. I like the added benefits. It's just so hard to keep control when you have a limited amount of points to spend and the damn old men keep dying unexpectedly on you! I spent over 150 on one old coot only to have him die without even reaching the Curia!!@

England can often have a spate of rebel problems form the start. They have numerous historical rebellion events that may fire in the early game so if they get hit with a few in a row, they tend to have problems for awhile.

A CLOD resurgence here as well. And ARMAIII and Panzer Battles and Roads to Leningrad (boardgame).

Things went roughly as expected. I played more CLOD than usual. In Fusion Mod 4.3 the de wilde (name kept to keep its true nature secret it seems) ammo should make little sparkles as it hits. I tried that, but there was so much smoke and debris coming off the stricken Stukas that I couldn't see any particular sparkles. I had better luck with the default loads for some reason.
