I think the series would be great in Feudal Japan...picture AC mechanics with ninjas and samurai. Awesome.

Even China would be really cool.

Mind you, French Revolution and Feudal Japan were both originally considered for AC2.

Have they finished releasing all the rest of the so-far-declared AC games though?
It seems sometimes like an AC game comes out every month these days.

Agreed that an Asian culture would be great, AC begs for ninja action. But I do like this setting too...when was the last time we saw a game like this set in the French Revolution or Terror?

I keep buying these damned AssCreed games but I've yet to finish a single one (I finish nearly every story driven game I buy). I think I need a good talking to.

I finished I, II and the one set in Venice. I couldn't get into the one set in Rome. I also own III & IV and am close to starting IV. But since the reception for III was 'meh' I may not play it for a while. I don't own the one set in Istanbul but may pick it up one day.

See how simple that was?

The problem with III is it just takes forever to open up. But I do love the setting.

I'm hoping they continue towards more and more open worlds...Skyrim set in colonial America or revolutionary France would be incredible.

:o Colonial New England done at Skyrim detail level... damn but that would be engrossing. I don't know that I'd ever come up for air after diving in.

I'm kind of wondering if "Unity" will be the end of the series, since the title also refers to the overarching plot macguffin. ???

On the other hand, I understand the main character was actually killed off toward the end of III and IV now just has some random nobody accessing his genetic memories, which seems to effectively kill the narrative connection to the 'future'. So... is the main story now effectively over and they're just screwing around in this guy's genetic memories because "AWESOME! PIRATES!" ? Like they might as well have fun with it?
