The Alpha that is available plays more like a Beta.  All that is missing is multi-player, and three playable races. Of course there are balance issues to be addressed, as well as tightening up the code.  But it's much more playable and feature complete than Alphas that were released as finished product at twice the cost <cough>SoTS2<cough>.

I've played this game for an hour and a half now and got to say:
This hardly feels like an Alpha, or even an early Beta (repeating what others said in this thread).
Not a single bug (not to mention crash) found, game is really a lot of fun as well!

AND I just re-bought Thief 3. Buy two games in one day?? What is the world coming to? There have been years in which I haven't bought two games :)

Cant by it tomorrow now...money tight. I will advise as soon as I grab it. I imagine that if you liked PR 2, you'll like this, if you were one of those"WTF is this?" people with PR2, there will be nothing new.
