Any mention of Quick Battles?
Don't quote me as my memory can play tricks on me. IIRC there was a mention of a skirmish mode, where you could play one off battles on the maps supplied. You should be able to do your own scenarios too with the editor. Again IIRC correctly, the editor is supposed to be very user friendly, so If I'm mistaken as to skirmish mode (and I have the gut feel that I'm not on that), then the new editor will give the same  sort of functionality. :)
The most shocking fact about war is that its victims and its instruments are individual human beings, and that these individual beings are condemned by the monstrous conventions of politics to murder or be murdered in quarrels not their own. Aldous Huxley

Well tablets are getting better but, I hope they don't have to dumb it down or cut features just to make it work on tablets!

GDS_Starfury

that would be a deal killer.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

But isn't panzer corps and Battle Academy tablet exactly the same as the PC  version? Nothing dumbed down

Correct.  The PC version is the lead platform on TBF anyway.  The tablet versions have their own dev schedule, most of which is trying to squeeze the PC game on to them!

So the tablet versions will be dumbed down to fit, and not the other way around?

There will be no "dumbing down" on any platform.  BA has pretty much zero gameplay differences - the UI will be the main area where platforms diverge.

Good to know.

When I hear mention of a Tablet version, that's always a worry.

SgtRock

Well let's face it, Battle Academy and Panzer Corp are pretty light wargames, just look at Combat Mission touch on tablets, no one is going confuse it with CM1 or CM2 games. Battlefront said tablet's today couldn't even handle a direct port of Combat Mission 1 Beyond Overlord a 13 year old game with graphics that weren't the best even back in 2000. I hope the new CC game raises the bar with some new things in tactical combat.

Well the AI triggers for the AI plans in the V3.0 upgrade is evidence that they are moving in the right direction. :)

I recall hearing about Close Combat: The Bloody First around 6 months to a year ago and haven't seen anything since. Any ideas?

Apocalypse 31

They scrapped the coop

We are not currently planning Coop for first release, though would be interested to know if it is something that would be popular.
Pip

Something like that popular? I've put in 122 hours into Battle Academy 2, mostly dedicated to coop with friends/family/etc. How would this not be popular? This is slowly turning into just another single player WW2 game.
