I only wish I had the time to do so. Maybe in the Fall...

Who here has a copy of B-17QofS?  *holds up own hand*

I do.  Haven't played it in quite some time though.  I seemed to prefer Patton's Best over it B-17 however just because I think there's more choices and things going on.

I have The Hunters still in shrink.  I had been curious to get it on the table but I understand that it seems to fall victim to the lack of interaction and repetitiveness but I really should play it for myself and judge it fairly.

Double Deuce

I have B-17QofS. I am working on upgrading my copy with new graphic/pieces found on BGG and played a few missions just to get back in the feel for the game flow maybe a month or so ago.

It does get repetitive.  It's okay for short stretches and doesn't take up a huge amount of space, however.

I think it would've been greatly improved with a more detailed convoy attack system.  Most notably something to give you more options in your convoy attack targets that doesn't involve simple random die rolls.  I've been spoiled by the multiple convoy column chit pulls in Silent War, which give you initially unknown (but hinted at) types of ships in multiple columns and you get to decide where you want to make your attack run before flipping them over to discover just how much risk & reward you are getting.  The Hunters really needs a bit more detailed convoy attack system in the same vein.

The Hunter's creator(s) obviously opted for faster gameplay, with the d100 die rolls that just drop a few merchants for you to shoot at.  I feel like there is an extra dynamic or two missing from this part of the game, however.
