Looking forward to this next Friday...and I happen to have just enough $$ in my Steam wallet to cover it  O0

Has the price been released?

$25 is what I've seen on the Steam forum.
Government is not the solution to our problem—government is the problem.   Ronald Reagan
The democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give to those who would not.   Thomas Jefferson
During times of universal deceit, telling the truth becomes a revolutionary act.   George Orwell  The truth is quiet...It's the lies that are loud.   Jesus Revolution
If you ever find yourself in need of a safe space then you're probably going to have to stop calling yourself a social justice warrior. You cannot be a warrior and a pansy at the same time   Mike Adams (RIP Mike)

Cyrano

As this gets closer to my purchasing it -- otherwise known as day 1 release -- please remember those of us who yearn for MP in a title of this kind!

I know it's on your list, but I'm excited...

Best,

You didn't know? My Corps has already sailed to Berlin. We got there 3 days ago and we've been in the Tiergarten on the piss ever since. -- Marshal Soult, October 1806

I have steam cash in my wallet, and I LOVE real time naval games, in my mind the military-themed type of game best suited for RTS play.

This assumes, of course, that the AI is competent, and that the ships aren't moving at 300 knots, AND that there is a slowdown button.

A naval game should not be a twitch game. Ever.

^ Its got a time slider.   James posted this comment in the other VaS thread  "The game has an RTS element to it but it also has a time slider to slow combat right down to a crawl to allow players to command individual ships quickly. "

...so now we just need to see how the AI is.

There are a couple more videos on youtube..one clown had no clue, the other, pewpewchew did a decent job going over the game.

Rule #1...if you're new to the game, don't put the speed slider on 6x, and expect good results. His ship was a destroyer, moving at 37 knots. Let's see... 6 times 37 times 1.15 to convert from knots to mph = 255 miles per hour.

Good luck with that!!!

It appears you can issue orders while paused, which is nice.  The big question for me is whether or not you can save mid-battle.  The campaign in Battle Fleet 2 is pretty much unplayable for me just because a single battle takes so long.

Agreed. On the lowest difficulty setting, battles take a half hour or longer. At more difficult settings, they take the same amount of time, but YOUR ships are sinking!

In the iPad version of Battle Fleet, you can just quit and come back anytime. Too bad it does not seem to be the case in PC.

In the PC version, if you quit mid-battle during the campaign you lose the sector, as if you ordered a retreat.

...a Carriers and Battleship gameplay video

I watched that earlier and it does look good, but my fundamental questions remains unanswered.
