Based on the 20 minute prelude video, this has major potential

It has a pretty impressive cast too. Richard "Apollo" Hatch, Tony "Candyman" Todd, Gary Graham (reprising his Vulcan ambassador role from Enterprise) and Kate Vernon (Ellen Tigh in the BSG reboot).

I like the little touches in that video. The narrator is listed as "John Gill" which is the name of the historian who introduces Nazism to an entire planet in TOS in an ill-conceived attempt to improve it's society.

Agreed on the cast.  I'm amazed -- and gratified -- that they're apparently so willing to donate their time to this. 

I will admit seeing both Todd and J.G. Hertzler playing Human officers in this conflict is slightly jarring to me.  However, it's still awesome that they're participating in this project.  O0

I'm just glad it focuses on fleet/ship warfare in a Star Trek setting.  Something I always hope to see in large quantities but am often disappointed by the lack of it.

On the other hand, I enjoyed some of the geeky comedy moments in Free Enterprise so maybe the change was for the better.   I laughed pretty hard at the "renewal" nightmare reference from Logan's Run in it.  ;D
