Geek thanks for providing the summary.  The drama has spread to - and, indeed, involves - a large range of gaming websites.  It's insane on reddit right now, not to mention 4chan (surprisingly a voice of reason in this).

I disagree. Grogheads is not irrelevant. More likely the reason is that the average game site caters to immature teens, probably due to their buying power.

Its where game developers, almost always indie devs, get together and and try and create a game in a set amount of time. From the ones I've seen on twitch, somewhere between 24-72 hours.
