Updated Tips/Tactcics etc.. (reply 3)

Map Navigation
It is a good idea to take a look at the map before the mission starts

2D map:
Contour line spacing: This can only be changed during the planning phase.
Options>Contour line spacing>select value
Zoom: Mouse wheel or "Map Zoom" slider
Moving around: Press & Hold centre mouse button or keyboard arrow keys.
Battle Plan: Right click.New Graphic
Free View in 3D view:Very handy to explore the 3D terrain but only works during the planning phase.  F1 key or selecting "view" by right clicking the map , you can go to anyplace on the map during the battle and navigate using the WASDX & QZ keys, and arrow keys to pan. Also the mouse can be used.
Lost: Cant find where you are on the map? Right click the map.Center on me
Cant find team mates?: Select participants on the map tool bar and select the team mate.

LoL. Awesome! Love my new toy. Now If I could only remember where I left the keys.

Now that I see how hardcore you us are, I really need to read that owner's manual.

I just kinda wing it.  Once you learn the interface and the most oft-used key commands, you'll be fine.

What I want to know is how many meters is it for each square in the map?

Each square is 1Km so 1000m per square :)

Jomni, I'm occasionally up dark & early and have time for a multi-player mission with you guys.  I'll start checking in a bit more often during your prime evening hours.

Just FYI.....

I have started updating the Training section of the site.... http://steeldogsofwar.com/?page_id=92  I plan to continue to add information as well as eventually our SOP.

Those of you guys who are interested or who have SB and are reluctant to play on-line, drop me or Asid a line and we will run a small engagement with you to give you a taste of platoon action.  We run small engagements throughout the week as there are usually some of us on.

Also, Asid wanted me to let you guys know the Dogs of War has Soul Power.... right on.

I parked 'em right on top of some T-80s and red infantry in the city.   O0

Extra fun for Asid.  He went on a rampage with 21 kills.  Held off a counterattack pretty much by himself.

Here's a screenshot of him in action ~~~>

And Asid keeps the info coming!
Good job!

I was hoping to be playing again with you guys but a cold has felled me...

However, if pilots would need to do daily what they are capable of doing, nobody would dare to fly anymore."
