It's wishful thinking at this point to think they will stop to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. They will take at least half, probably all of the country. All the peace posturing is to get the Ukrainians milling around not knowing what to do.

I agree with above posts. Notice how this cease fire occurs while the NATO summit is going on? When that is over, put your helmet back on. Putin is clearly trying to off balance Ukraine, NATO, the US, the West, Tarzan, Tonto and Frankenstein.

Because of all the West-born bastages who joined Fargin' IS-hole it's now illegal to volunteer to fight for a foreign power, even one nominally friendly to the US such as Ukraine.

OTOH, it might still be legal if one is getting paid for it so if Ukraine can afford it (or gets a really good defered-payment plan) maybe we will see the return of private militaries with influential friends in the CIA.

Funny, I actually had an uncle who was a Legionnaire. I've only heard a few stories about him since he wasn't a first uncle and I had always thought he served in French Indochina in the 50's but I heard recently that he might have fought in Algeria.
