Definitely seems like CK2 meets XCOM. It is scheduled to launch on Sept 28, so there isn't much time left before we get our hands on it.

I haven't been paying much attention to this but it does seem really compelling. Very different from your average fantasy tactical hack n' slack like Blackguards.

Anybody have any thoughts on this game? It came out as Early Release on Steam on 11/28. Reviews seem mixed--but it's hard to evaluate reviews of an Early Access game...

The thought of using an X-COM battle system in a fantasy setting where you manage your kingdom and dynasty over generations is interesting. Even if the individual games are on the lighter side, it could make for a very fun game experience, if done correctly. Does anybody think it's done correctly here?

Double Fine is the developer, which is a pretty good reason to not buy it on early access.
