That being said, there's no intrinsic reason other than recognition value why Carol Danvers couldn't be black or several other skin colors; or for that matter no intrinsic reason other than current recognition value why she couldn't be Monica Rambeau. Or Kamala Khan for that matter -- that would be pretty ballsy, and a quite different powerset than the somewhat Thorsy Danvers (or anyone else likely to be on the team for a while).

Notice they're not tying in X-Men or Fantastic Four franchises.  Which makes no sense if you're going for the Inhumans, since they overlapped with both at various times.

Super-hero movies, they finally are getting it right.

It'll take this and a lot more, though, to make up for such atrocities as the 70s TV movie for Captain America. But they're on the right track at least.

I'm mixed about Whedon - I hope he can get out of his Marvel deal and possibly redo Firefly. Then again he does have a flair for good Marvel movies.

I don't know of any sources, but I could swear he hinted at this a while ago, around the time of the Avengers movie. Either he hinted at it or, more likely, the Browncoats are creating something out of nothing.

I know "War of Kings" is correct (that's the latest info I've seen confirmed), as is Ant Man and Dr. Strange; haven't heard the subtitles for Cap3 or Thor3, but the dates seem correct. The Cap2/3 directors said the subtitle would be released very, very soon, but also indicated it would be rather more epic than "The Fallen Son". I'm suspicious of "Civil War" out of the gate -- admittedly all indications are that a new Avengers team is set up at the end of Av2, but that wouldn't in itself lead to the Civil War plotline or even the MCU equivalent this early, and they're steadily building to a showdown with Thanos so it would be weird for them to delay that. I would believe Planet Hulk, but I'm sure THAT hasn't been confirmed yet, and no way would I believe they're going straight to WWH without having done a PHulk story yet, regardless of how Av2 ends.
