Decisive Campaigns WtP, Case Yellow. May 23rd and I've got Holland out of the war and Belgium's surrendering next turn. France is at 50% losses. That just leaves the BEF. I'm actually believing I might win this one.

I'm psyched to see someone playing this game! I haven't loaded up either Warsaw to Paris or Case Blue in some time, but I absolutely love these games. The Case Yellow scenario is a lot of fun -- pulling off the Mannstein plan encirclement of the Allied forces is not easy, but it's incredibly satisfying if you do!

For me this weekend --

Wings over Flanders Fields -- I keep starting careers and keep dying quickly and unceremoniously. The best I've managed so far is a couple of months (with some hospital stays) with 3 confirmed kills with 2 pending as an Unteroffizier in Jasta 4. I even launched a 1916 career and literally died in my first mission when I botched a landing in my Fokker EIII. This game is challenging, and awesome.

Crusader Kings II -- doing a 1066 campaign as Grand Principality of Kiev... I'm curious to see what the Golden Horde is going to do to me...

Maybe a Decisive Campaigns game, inspired by Sir Slash?   :)

I've about managed to place most of the eastern map of Rome II under Pontos' control so I may have to fire up one of the new nations in the Emperor's Edition.

I'm thinking about buying Oblivion. Never played it. I tried Morrowind and didn't like it at all so I didn't much get into it. I skipped Oblivion completely, but have played through Skyrim several times. Was just doing another restart of Skyrim with a build I don't usually play with but am thinking about going back to the previous and seeing if it's worth it.

It's 24.99 on Steam, but that's with all the DLC (Knights of the Nine and the Shivering Isles expansions plus Fighter's Stronghold Expansion, Spell Tome Treasures, Vile Lair, Mehrune's Razor and more). Those of you that have played both Skyrim and Oblivion...what's your opinion of Oblivion? It's highly rated but would rather hear y'all's opinions.

Mod the crap out of it before you start.  Get one of the enemy levelling mods if nothing else.  by default, every creature in the game levels up along with you.  the dev's intent was to provide a consistent challenge but the end result was pretty ridiculous as you'd see things like high level rats dropping glass swords of awesomeness when you killed them.

I got one mod that lifted the weight restriction. Much easier to manage inventory. Yeah, sorta cheating, but far more organized than filling up with 50 pounds of stuff, having to run back to your home to offload it, etc, etc, ad naseum.

@BanzaiCat -- By all means, get Oblivion. It's fantastic, every bit as deep and immersive as Skyrim IMO, and it still holds up well today graphically I think (can't really say the same for Morrowind). Like SDR said, mod it up -- Oblivion's leveling mechanic was, by overwhelming consensus, a huge mistake on the devs' part.
