Oh my yes. There's a large Indian population in Japan, mostly migrant workers. There's lots in Dubai as well.

CoCo Ichiban's a nation-wide (with lot's of them in the rest of Asia, Hawaii, and the west coast of the US and Canada) curry chain that's altered the menu to suit the Japanese palate.   

The menu is kind of interesting.  You order the basic type of curry you want.  (Beef, chicken, pork, seafood, veggie, other weirdness).  Then you can up-size the curry and/or the rice portion, add extra ingredients and choose a spice level from 1-10.  They also have a jar of awesome pickled chutney (Japanese style, tsukemono and mirin) at the table.

They used to offer the Curry Challenge.  If you could eat the max size 1,300g of curry and rice with level 10 spice, then the meal was free.  Too many filthy gaijin and nan-ban barbarians cottoned on to this so "no foreigners allowed for challenge" signs started appearing.  That didn't sit too well so they cancelled the challenge  officially but you can still find individual restaurants that offer it up.  Voice of experience here. Do NOT try it after ingesting a couple pitchers of beer.

Difficult to say.

Deadly fighting has broken out again between the government and rebels around the strategically important airport outside Donetsk, a continuing source of friction that is testing the resilience of a recent cease-fire agreement.

Nine Ukrainian soldiers and three civilians were killed during heavy shelling on Sunday, government officials announced. Andriy Lysenko, an army spokesman, said seven soldiers died when a tank shell hit their troop transport. It was the deadliest attack since the cease-fire was announced on Sept. 5.

President Petro O. Poroshenko has called the cease-fire the keystone to his peace plan for the country, and in a nationally televised news conference on Thursday said he had "no doubt that the biggest, most dangerous part of the war is already behind us."
