All you really need for a real shit storm is one of these people infecting someone who works in a meat processing plant of any kind. Guy cuts himself for instance, gets a drop into a giant vat of ground beef. The plants intentionally mix the meat of 1000s of animals so it is hard to trace.

We need to get to robotic meat processing.

Didn't one of Tom Clancy's books have a plot about making Ebola into a aerosol to spread it around NY or something? They had a large group of people held captive and were "growing" Ebola in a camp In Africa somewhere....

Actually, Executive Orders is the one you're describing. The Iranians usean Ebola strain as a bioweapon to attack the US. Rainbow 6 was the follow-on. Eco-terrorists created an airborne strain and attempted to wipe out most of the human race.

In the Clancy book, the aerosol was sprayed at the Olympics in Australia, then spread around the world. I think it was Rainbow 6. Cant remember if the team shut them down. I will have to reread it. I thought it was one of the better books.

They stop it from happening in Rainbow. In Executive Orders there is a national outbreak, but it burns itself out. The strain used is too deadly and can't spread quickly enough.
