He said it was set to Gus.
Jarhead - Yeah. You're probably right.

Gus - I use sweatpants with flannel shorts to soak up my crotch sweat.

Banzai Cat - There is no "partial credit" in grammar. Like anal sex. It's either in, or it's not.

Mirth - We learned long ago that they key isn't to outrun Star, it's to outrun Gus.

Martok - I don't know if it's possible to have an "anti-boner"...but I now have one.

Gus - Celery is vile and has no reason to exist. Like underwear on Star.

I haven't really played since I think it was the 9.2 beta patch.  However as Steelie said this game is outstanding considering it's an alpha/beta prerelease stage of development.  I'll tell you that the difficulty has steadily ramped up as the beta patch have been released.

Thanks for the info. Though those ARE the settings I'm playing with...I chose "Scavenger" as the difficulty level and it's doing those levels you mention (200% loot, etc.).

I'll stick with it. I mean, your recommendation and the others' is indicative of a game that's well worth my time investment. I'll check those links out, definitely. Thanks!

Once you get some crafting experience going, the game will start to flow. Like The Walking Dead, most of my deaths by zombie now happen because I got careless and got used to them. I will admit that I hate running zombies though, and although I've turned my difficulty levels up, no running zombies for me. I'm strictly Night of the Living Dead/The Walking Dead canon as a player. But a zombie horde is a zombie horde, no matter the difficulty   :knuppel2:

The random aspect of start-up is enough to keep me coming back for more. I've had rotten start-up luck in both my attempts, but that's par for the course for me (I tend to have horrid luck with such things). Eventually I hope I'll start somewhere where there will be a bit of peace and quiet for at least a few minutes.

I could swear one of those easy/Gus settings stated that zombie spawning would be limited for a certain timeframe, but apparently that's not the case or I don't remember right.

Is there not a radar in the new build?

I saw this in videos of previous builds, and note that the 7 Days Wiki references it (perhaps it hasn't been updated).

That would be very useful, though I understand the immersiveness of not having it present.

No radar. It was never meant to be anything more than a placeholder in early alpha builds. You do have a map and more importantly, you can hear the zombies around you and get a good idea of where they are. I liked the radar, but adapted very quickly to life without one.
