Too bad. I thought Colson might get a little this season. What's with the symbols? Tie in with Guardians of the Galaxy maybe? I could see Colson and the raccoon getting wasted together and then into a bar fight.

I don't remember seeing similar symbols connected with the Kree in Guardians. However, the fan consensus seems to be that the blue alien last season was a Kree. If so he wasn't a normal Kree, considering his effects on some people.

Worth noting that Raina and Skye may be related; Skye's Evil Father has shown up recently, don't know where or who her true mother is. (Presumably not May though that was briefly teased last season.)

If they decide his name is Robert (i.e "Bob"), I may not be able to resist laughing in glee.

Also happy with Mockingbird's introduction -- I suppose there would be too many similar asskicking women of a particular character type if Lucy Lawless' character had survived, and Bobby Morse is more lore appropriate anyway.

+1 I like how they introduced Mockingbird and she's a total bad ass. Still though, introducing and killing off Lucy Lawless in a single episode was harsh.

I was trying to remember if she has been cast in SW, or if that was just Marvel playing around saying "Yeah, no, StarWars is fictional in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, too." The T definitely means there won't be any chance of overlaps.

(...except neither do I remember the T saying "Wars" across the bottom. Then again, I'm just a guy, I may have been distracted by the shape of the lettering on "Star".

While I'm glad, in a way, they went to a proper blonde look for Morse, it looks completely fake. Not sure in the end that was the best idea.

Andrew Wheeler recaps Shield for ComicsAlliance, and has been (almost) legitimately brutal on the show last season. I honestly don't understand why its ratings continue to drop, because despite some continuing plot stupidities -- which are par for the course on most shows of this sort -- this season has come back improved 1000 percent.

Anyway, this week he started off: "Welcome to season one, episode two of Mockingbird, the awesome new Marvel TV show starring Adrianne Palicki as kick-ass superspy Bobbi Morse. It could be everything anyone ever wanted a live action Marvel TV show to be!

Unfortunately and inexplicably this new show is saddled to Marvel's Agents of SHIELD, a show that spent an entire season being so terrible that its ratings seem to be in freefall."

I don't think that's fair to the writing and work being across the show this season, but it's fair to Palicki.

Now, for that guy at the end.

He was credited only as "stranger" but they wouldn't introduce someone like that and not use him in a big way (or big in proportion to this show). Given the alien tatts he's working on, I'm going to guess he's a waaaay scaled-down version of Michael Korvac.

Also: a theory I recently saw for the "Diviner" (the artifact that splinters people into dust), other than it being one of the missing infinity stones (though I couldn't believe they're going to get them all on screen this long before the Infinity War movies), is that this whole plotline is not related to the Kree at all, or not primarily -- we don't know for sure the blue alien was Kree, and I don't recall those symbols being part of Ronan's gig in Guardians 1 -- but rather to the Inhumans.

(I don't think this would fit with the Korvac theory, but the MCUverse could be combining storylines.)
