This woman, Nena, was a childhood sweetheart of mine. I remember sitting watching the video to 99 Red Balloons back in 82(?)

Well....I don't know what she's singing about but I think this song is hauntingly beautiful (sorry about that - I'll read my "Book of Manly Sayings" over the weekend too!). I bought her album Live in Germany when I heard this song - in German.

Anyway - gaming this weekend...get on it guys.

This weekend I will be playing
The Drinking Game - Rugby is on and Scotland face off the All Blacks. It's likely not going to be pretty (for Scotland if you don't know much about rugby), but Stella will help
F1 2013 - I can't believe I'm about to finish my first ever season in all the F1 games I've ever had...my first complete season. I've got 2 races left with Texas being the next venue.
Warfighter - Still, still trying to get the rules down pat. I'm very much likely over thinking things!
Combat Mission Shock Force:NATO - continuing my German advance through Syria

I think that is all. I want to nail Warfighter so most of my time will go on that I think. Also, I have my bike to clean at the weekend and the car to wash, along with "other chores" I expect!

99 Red Balloons - that sure brings back memories! I really preferred the German version over the English one, even though I don't speak German, it just sounded right!

I am out of town until late Saturday but should be able to game a bit on Sunday - just not sure what is on the menu. Maybe I will dive into my GOG library, which just grew with the addition of SPAZ and Sacred 2 Gold! :)

'Rock Me Amadeus' always sounded better to me in German instead of English, too. I took two years of German in high school and a year of it in college so some of it still sticks with me...I can still count no problem and curse well enough.  >:D

Anyway, gaming this weekend...hmm. Played some more Field Commander Rommel this week; the 1940 campaign was rather easy and I won it in three turns. I guess the dice were good for me but I've read so many have had problems with that campaign. I'm worried now I might have not played it right.

I also want to break out Warfighter, but I have a mission to record for our B-17 game in the AAR section. Kept meaning to get to that during the week but side work kept me busy. So to that I shall get this weekend.

Also maybe some MP Warlock Sunday morning? I don't know, I gotta go bump that thread.

I'm in one of those weird gaming lulls where nothing is fun.  :(  All I want to do this weekend is ride my Royal Enfield but the "polar vortex" and my lack of winter riding gear means I'm stuck inside.  Maybe I could break out Tide of Iron and play both sides just to learn the rules.

- Maybe some Storm over the Pacific as Japan.

Not sure what else... kind of a PC gaming funk too.... maybe some War of the Zombie on my iPad. They just made some pretty major changes including being able to build forward operation land bases, and the AI driving around in tanks!

Came back to Shadow of Mordor last night and got my arse whupped for 90 minutes. Hope to play some AoWIII again for a little bit and then clearing the deck for the release of Dragon Age: Inquisition.

Skyrim - Finish getting my mods sorted for the new play through I'm getting ready for.
EUIV - Continue my Austria game. When I last played earlier in the week I had just gotten Hungary into a personal union through an event. Didn;t even require me to go to war to enforce it.
KSP - With all the talk about the Rosetta mission this week has me wanting to jump back in.
WoW - I resubsribed last weekend after getting some pressure from some old guild mates. Not sure if i'm going to stick with it or not, but I'm enjoying my time so far.
Diablo 3 - Want to get a couple more levels on my season crusader before the season ends.

Will likely Space Hulk Ascension some more for a while; possibly more Buzz Aldrin, though the flight playthroughs (when I finally reached one) didn't seem nearly as gripping as in the original BARIS. Don't know why; logically they aren't any different. I must have an aesthetic problem with the art style.

I feel a rising need to play a triple-A title -- not necessarily the ones being released this season, but neither do I want to get involved in something that will blot my ability to play any game I get for birthday/Christmas. I may finally start the first Dragon Age game perhaps.

Or, I may just meander around in Lotro some more FOR ABSOLUTELY FREE.  O0

(Though if I see Skyrim expansions going up on sale I may pick them up and start checking the S.T.E.P.S-CORE modding system.)
