No CMH is a 3rd party app to automate PBEM.

But I do have the vehicle pack and I dont think that version is compatible with one without it...

Really? That's very annoying. So I can't play PBEM in Combat Mission Battle for Normandy unless I have the vehicle pack? I would say that's pretty stupid but on the contrary it's rather very clever - short term...and crap.  :tickedoff:

Why would the Combat Mission BfN scenarios be affected in PBEM if one person has a vehicle pack (none of which are in ANY of the scenarios) and one person doesn't. If they had updated all the scenarios and the new ones included the vehicles in some form or another, I'd understand. But otherwise, it just seems like a financial mugging to me.  :knuppel2:

Well I'm not buying the vehicle pack. Nothing in it for me. If there were missions or a campaign then I'd have bought it. If they updated their existing campaigns and missions to include them, then I'd have bought it. But I'm not buying it just so I'm compatible with other people who have

Well, this is not confirmed by me yet, but as the Vehicle Pack ups the version number to 3.1 I think we will need to wait for the regular 3.1 patch for the game (which is promised) to come out before we can play PBEM together.
It's not so much that the vehicle pack is there. As long as we don't play anything with content from that it should work, but you will need to have the same version, which isn't possible at the moment.

Two quick things.

When the game is patched you'll be good to against anyone that has 3.0, whether you have the Vehicle Pack or not.

I don't think the building thing you're describing is the famed build bug. I get what you describe sometimes. Where I keep trying to plot a way point on a building and it keeps not being on the building.  What I end up doing, and it works, is moving my camera angle or zooming in or out a little.  My understanding of the house bug is that you are able to plot a move into certain single standalone buildings but the units won't go inside.

That's exactly my problem

I have had this several times in my scenario and the "fix" you describe here is exactly what I had been doing and it worked - except for this one specific occasion

Thanks Elvis

So just to confirm:v3.1 and v3.0 are savegame compatible? That's good to hear if so. I would swear I read otherwise on the BFC forums.

I took the "when the game is patched" to mean when I get the patch, we can play nice

It most certainly wouldn't be the first time and I definitely don't think it'll be the last when I've been confused by BF's patching process!  :buck2:

Judge is right. A patch will make 3.0 compatible with 3.1. Until that patch is out, they aren't.

@Judge :)

I can really recommend the Guards at Aalst scenario in the campaign. From what I recall of it, it is tough and bloody, but a great scenario. O0

I played a PBEM game of the Eerde Sand Dunes...What if (I was US)

It was the most intense nail biting and absolutely bloody battle I have ever played.  Charges, counter attacks praying for reinforcements.  My opponent who has played many many PBEM games remarked that it was one of his most enjoyable PBEM games as well.  It went down to the last turn.  Highly recommend this for PBEM
