Yeah, a giant all-inclusive patch sounds good.

I was a bit confused too with the instructions. :o It would have been far simpler to have said extract the .brz files to the data directory, then just run the setup .exe.

After looking at the destination folders, I did just that and it worked to my amazement first time - no need to email Elvis :) to dig me out of a hole! O0

I don't know why the instruction is to copy "all" the zip files to the installation folder, as
a) You don't need to copy the setup.exe and all the .bin files (you can just run the setup.exe from the zip file); and
b) The .brz files need to go into the \data\ folder where they overwrite the ones already there.

I'm not claiming to be an expert, but doing the above worked just fine for me with no problems at all. :D (Before posting I had another look to make sure, and it seems all ok - scenarios, campaigns etc where they should be...could've been embarrassing otherwise... :-[)

Was able to get 3.11 up just following the standard instructions, without fuss.  D/l all the files; they appear as a single .zip.  Extract to convenient location (new folder on desktop).  Run the setup.exe.  Activate using CMBN 3.0 key.  Then activate the modules using their keys.

Same here, except I didn't have to activate. Everything just worked.

Does he do Graviteam too? Hey that might be a good career.. help people Upgrade their BF and Graviteam.. and tweak their FSX!

I was about to say "damn, why didn't I think of that?!" And then I remembered that this is what I do, just not for any software as fun or interesting as CM or GT or FSX.

Then I got sad.  :(

But then I remembered that Brant had the words "nominal fee" in a scrolling green marquee, and I got happy again!  ;)

Because who doesn't like a scroll green marquee?

If anyone is having issues with activating after upgrading, I saw the DRM activations servers are down at BFC.  I'm sure they won't be long, but just so you know.

QuoteEDIT -- sorry RyanE, can't offer any useful advice -- I've deliberately held off buying the Vehicle Pack until the patching stuff gets a little more smoothed out, and until there's a little more in the way of user-made scenarios for the new vehicles.  (I'm kinda amazed the Pack was offered without anything in the way of scenarios/battles to actually use the new vehicles with..

Same sentiment here

I am holding off on the vehicle disks until this is a bit better sorted out.  Elvis is indicating this will be simpler down the road but I have to say that as much as I love CM its becoming too confusing to figure out versions, sources updates patches and modules.  I will stick with it though but it is getting more onerous for me

Chain reaction that you'll probably see in the news tomorrow. Microsoft Azure has gone nutz again. Me thinks there are gonna be a lot of upset Xbox people.

You probably have the Vehicle Pack. If you have that, you went through the activation when you installed the Pack.

Elvis

It's up again. Azure looks like it still ain't right but you can activate now. Which means that I can go to sleep now.

Bletchley_Geek

Besides the patch install procedure being uneventful... I progressed some of the games I am playing in parallel, and I am quite happy about the changes/improvements made to the TacAI. I surprised myself micro'ing much less troops positioning and alignment than I was a couple days ago.

This thread is already here so I will use it.

I just went to start up CMBN and do the update and I get " license error ".

I am too tired and pissed to look it up, but doesn't this game DRM " break " or what ever when you change any hardware? I think I remember reading that.

Please let me know if the above is correct.

Thanks
