Hit a sweet spot with Dragon Age: Inquisition. Will savor that for a bit and then finally move on to the Rome 2: Total War Armenia campaign :)

I have resumed playing Strategic Command: WW1 Breakthroughs that I'm doing an AAR for.  I've picked up where I left 2 years ago.  Sounds strange, but when I do an AAR I have a lot of screenshots and a detailed word document that enables me with a little review to get right back where I was.

I've now completed 1914 and am in January 1915.  My strategy is based on Grey Tide in the East and a rereading of several classic WW1 books including the Guns of August.

I've been playing some Dominions 4 and a game of Conquest of Elysium 3 to round out the weekend.

Are you even close to becoming competent in Dominions 4?  Are there any good player guides out there for Dominions 4?

I beat Conquest of Elaysium 3 twice.  Interesting game that really requires patience until you get your forces built up.

Been messing around on several games, but have finally gotten far enough in Shadow of Mordor to find the Batman Easter Egg.

Now I badly want a 'skin' where Talion or whatever his name is dresses up like a bat man to stalk and terrify the orcs...

I really enjoy CoE3.  It's simple, but there is more depth to the game then one would expect at first.  My last game I played a Necromancer and didn't  understand the insanity rules at first.  By the end of the game when my two most powerful Necromancer were insane about 2 out of every 3 turns, it really slowed down my march to conquer the opposing kingdoms.

I'm not at all competent at Dom4.  I replayed the step by step tutorial and finished out that game after the tutorial ended.  The tutorial helped to set up a pretender start that wasn't broken by my input.  Otherwise I've found the most helpful information by watching walk throughs on youtube.  There are a couple of guys who post very through walk throughs and strategy guides on youtube.  The biggest challenge is thinking through a long term goal as you build your pretender and then how the map changes that long term goal.  Dom4 is great in that sense of a need for a long term strategic plan.  I've found it much more unforgiving than other 4X when I attempt to shift my plan on the fly, because it requires so much time and resources to make a shift in the big picture strategy.

Tell me more about the Batman Easter Egg in Mordor!

Played mostly Omerta: city of gangsters and finished the second chapter of the Japanese Incentive. The addition of active enemy gangs makes the game more interesting as well as some of the deadly weapons (like the flamethrower)...which are fun in an awkward way  :knuppel2:

The addon is really a must for those who want to play that game.

Short non-spoilery version: shoot a Mordor bat (or Morgul bat, I can't recall offhand), and then read the unlocked description.

Spoilery version LOOK AWAY NOW!

. So, these bats drip a poisonous saliva (they don't suck blood, they eat corpses like vultures), which some orc captains use on their weapons. Obviously that means orcs have to go into the caves to harvest the bats, which is a good way to get caustic scars (which the orcs who do so wear with pride for the sheer balls of doing it).

However, long-term exposure to the poison at secondhand eventually drives the orcs who harvest and process it crazy. Well, crazier. Specifically, the orcs inevitably develop a paranoid fear of a man-bat stalking them from the shadows ready to pounce on them and beat them senseless for their evil deeds.

So far it's been CK2.  I've been considering going back old skool, though, maybe M2TW or King Arthur.

I, too, am getting an urge to go back to Skyrim yet again.  I might try the character I got with the Alternate Random Start mod.  Or maybe continue Morrowind

Plenty of choices.

Quite a list of games are in the hopper: CMANO (or Byzantium 1949); Mig21; Far Cry 3;CK2;WitpAE PBEM; some boardgames

It was CMANO;WitpAE; and DCS F86.

Spain is mopping the floor with the Antipope in CMANO in 1949.  I think I should put him in a bunker.  You are all probably too young to remember the "Entrench the Antipope!" publicity.  Even the little buttons have faded.  I can still remember the radio jingle, I think.

Little ashamed to say it turned out to be mainly WoW all weekend. Forgot how addicting MMO's can be.

I did get some KSP in Wednesday, and some Distant Worlds Sunday night but that's about it.
PanzersEast: Have to think to myself.... will I play the first one by the Winter Sale?  Probably not, then I should remove Dragonfall
PanzersEast: but that is thinking too logically.... and Steam Sales are about ignoring Logic

I found my old Dragon Age Origins Prima Game Guide and made the mistake of reading a page or two. I'd always played the human noble warrior path but now, I was inspired so I fired it up last night and played a City Elf (a warrior again, but still). Two hours later I'm remembering why DAO is so immersive and fun to play.

Heh!  I picked up DAO Ultimate during the sale because I only had the original (no DLC).  Even started a new game a couple days ago.  As an Elf, of all things.  ???
