I finally watched Thor: Dark World last week and was surprised they killed off Loki, but I'll hardly be surprised when he shows up in a future movie.

Yeah, I watched it again over the weekend and there are very subtle clues if you watch closely that the Asgard soldier is replaced by Loki when he arrives on the Dark World and when he's speaking to Odin. I guess the All-Father doesn't catch everything.

There's such a huge build up you can sense coming in not just all the new upcoming Marvel movies, but in the upcoming sequels as well, which seem to point to some massive cataclysmic end-all, be-all trilogy of awesomeness. But once the movie studios shoot that wad, what's going to happen then? I imagine they'll avoid the end-all be-all in favor of just continuing to churn out massive CGI-battle-fests that rake in billions...I can't imagine they'd shoot this cash cow and end it all.

Watched the next Agents of SHIELD episode last night, where he finds the dead Kree (I'm guessing he's a Kree anyway) when trying to get that GH325 stuff. As you guys have said, this is getting better and better with each episode.

There's also a hugely unsubtle clue (even before the end credits, if I recall correctly? -- it's very much a 'final scene'), where Odin and Thor are talking as Thor is refusing the throne and leaving -- and after he's gone, Loki decloaks a moment to gloat on the throne.

Watched the next Agents of SHIELD episode last night, where he finds the dead Kree (I'm guessing he's a Kree anyway) when trying to get that GH325 stuff. As you guys have said, this is getting better and better with each episode.

It won't be much of a spoiler to confirm that's a Kree -- they outright confirmed it verbally this week in-show.

I think the Kree are the only aliens they've dealt with thus far in the movies, and it's been a while since I saw the first Avengers movie. Also the episode where they used the helmet that was killing the firefighters (that episode was weaksauce too, but better than that stupid lonely hearts one). I like that they're tying in the movies to the show.

And now with the appearance of Lorelei...

I know you guys already watched all of S1 so you know what's up, but yeah I'm enjoying this ride. I wish that I had time to watch all of the remaining episodes but at the same time I'm glad I don't because I don't want to rush through all of this.

No, those were the Chitauri, the Ultimate-Skrulls-until-the-real-Ultimate-Skrulls-arrived. Apparently chosen due to (1) not having their rights attached to other properties Marvel sold off to other studios, and (2) their chin resemblance to Thanos.

The Chitauri are plot-checked occasionally in Season 1, but eventually disappear as references.

Guardians was the first clear appearance of the Kree in the MCU (after Shield's body-half in the tube), along with several other galactic races. Some other races with blue skins are name-checked along with the Kree in the Shield Lorelei ep, however.

And now with the appearance of Lorelei...

Prepare thyself: everything after this is one long season finale string if I recall correctly. You've seen Winter Soldier, right? If not, I'm trying to remember where you should slot that in, because unlike the Thor tie-in it's hugely important to the subsequent shape of the show...

Okay, "Yes Men" was the Lori ep; after the next one "The End of the Beginning" you should stop and watch Winter Soldier if you haven't done that already. "Turn turn turn" takes place during and after WS.

Yep, everything after the Lorelei episode ties-in to WS and it's when the show kicks into high gear.

The "End of the Beginning" episode comes before "Turn, Turn, Turn" - haven't seen End of the Beginning yet, just finished the Loralei episode last night. :)
