Great work on these.

I've got Aces of Valor, and just grabbed the Roman conquest game, but I might have to get some of the ones you've improved.

I've started looking at the Aces of Valor counters.... just an initial workup:





And Heroes of Argos

I'm a bit of a top-down nut when it comes to aircraft on counters.  When I saw the new side view ones in the Excalibre repring of Wings, I could almost cry.   

They did the same with their reprint of Panzer but doing so with vehicles doesn't seem quite so odd, despite the scale still requiring all the facing and angle calculations that made the side view on the aircraft look so weird in Wings.

Of course, the combat is abstracted in the ones you're working on, without facing requirements, so not as big a deal.

Just my preference when it comes to counters, anyway.  Do you prefer side-view or top-view for aircraft and vehicle counters?

I am also working on some top down images as well.... but I initially worked on the side view.  Once I have the top down worked out I will post back.

One other thing..


You have a Fokker D.VII pic on those counters, but it's listed as a Fokker D.VIII.   Intentional?  Does his WWI game include D.VIIIs?  Those were barely around at the very end of the war and I'm not sure if they were even used operationally before the end (they were the mono-winged fugly ones).

Nice! Though I'll now have to make another copy of Aces of Valor  :)

I really like the Argos one though, very thematic.

Love messing with print and play games so it's always nice to see this sort of thing.

Too little I formation aside from the title to get me intersed. They need to have more screens and examples of game mechanics.
