Still sounds fun, but I enjoyed 3 and... um... S4lv4tion or whatever. Despite the unexplained continuity plonks of the latter giving me a headache. At least this film seems ready to use time travel shennanigans to explain continuity shakeups.

Ugh, T3 was the worst of the lot imho. Salvation at least had a scene or two with Michael Ironside, who still comes across as a total badass.

I think Genisys will be okay but leave me feeling disappointed with it's complete unnecessity. That's how most of the current crop rebooted sequels have left me feeling - Star Trek Into Darkness, Godzilla, Jurassic World - not terrible genre movies, but they feel pointless and unneeded.

I wouldn't call "Godzilla" pointless and unneeded in principle; but I sure do agree it was a big disappointment. :(

I'll be very curious next year (or late this year?) to see what Toho does with their own reboot of the property. Their black and white poster of the underside of his foot makes me irrationally excited (since I know a poster no matter how clever and well done means NOTHING about the quality of the movie. Even so...

)

So was Salvation. In fact McG was originally wanting to re-release a director's cut sometime after the first Blu edition. We live in an alternate timeline where none of that happened. ;)

Arnie was on Stern earlier this week and he said no to count the chickens before they hatch. Yes, a trilogy could happen- but only if Genisys makes money/

Good. I pre-bought a ticket for Sunday morning. Going to see Spy before it. Haven't done two movies in a row in a long time.
