Well - so far so good with FSX Steam Edition.

I fired it up and the interface did seem to be less "clunky" than the original FSX...smoother in loading. Also I have been able to install Traffic 360 and REX 2. Both recognised the required files and folders for FSX (install folder, cfg file) once I had pointed them there and they installed. I haven't had time to fire it up yet to see if they work, but I'm hopeful.

I guess the "warning" was to cover their backs...Steam couldn't possibly know if ALL the addons would work with this new version. I pretty much had nothing to lose at £4...FSX was sitting on my desktop unused.

The original install (all 20+GBs) has gone and I'm hopeful for this Steam version.

Well, I suck. I grabbed Dragon Commander Imperial Edition (I've wanted that for a long, long time), Don't Starve (my son likes it a lot), Silent Hunter III (been wanting that a long time too), and Mount & Blade: Warband (which I grew tired of hearing how awesome it is and finally broke down).

I need to clone myself just to have enough time to play everything I've acquired in the last month or so.

Last night I tried Dragon Commander and had my rear handed to me on a silver platter - the computer Zerg rushed me and I couldn't do anything but react to its moves. Also tried Don't Starve for a bit; an odd game and a bit frustrating but it's interesting to explore and craft without having to do trial-and-error.

Yeah, this sale is pretty meh so far.   :-\

Is it just me, or did the flash sales used to come a little more fast and furious?  The featured deals are very underwhelming and last too long -- I need more turn over!  And the selections they're offering to vote over? Yawn.

Is anyone playing this?  I'm still less than impressed by just how much it looks like its predecessor, much as I liked Gal Civ II...

Hard to get a read on just how playable / enjoyable Gal Civ III is its current state...

I was beginning to enjoy State Of Decay awhile back, after playing it an hour or so.  But the made-for-console camera viewpoint and FOV started making me physically ill per usual.  Can't bring myself to try it again.  :-\

Was looking at getting it myself. I heard a lot of complaints when it hit beta but not sure what its like now.

I only fiddled with it for about 10 minutes last night, but my initial impression is positive.  It's undeniably pretty close to Gal Civ II visually. The presentation and UI are sleek. It sounds like it still has some way to go before its 'feature complete', but if you liked Gal Civ II and think you'll wind up getting GAL Civ III at some point, $25 seems like a very reasonable price to jump in.
