After more testing, Jomni, it was indeed that the station was full.

On the stations with the platforms outside, you can see. If there is a glowing bit with a docking number showing, it might have a free spot, or someone is on its way there. If you don't see glowing spots over the landing pads they are taken.

If more people are waiting to dock, once a docking bay comes free, everyone tries to get docking clearance, so you might be too late. It's a question of waiting close enough to be able to observe the traffic, then quickly try asking for clearance once you see someone leave.

The bigger stations almost never have capacity problems.

Another question; why would you want to buy a K-Warrant scanner? I have bought one, but it needs to be used as a weapon within scan range, only to indicate wether someone is clean or not, however, the stock Sidey already shows that automatically after a scan... without the K-Warrant scanner that is. Am I missing something?

How the hell do you get to Frigaha? Its one local system I just cannot reach even though it says its only 5 LY from my present location. I can lock onto it from my navigation menu, but I cannot enter Frameshift because it exceeds my fuel usage by 0.60T. This makes no sense as it is only 5LY away and I have made farther jumps before...also, I cannot route it from the galaxy map. What's the deal?

I'm absolutely certain this is something that has cropped up with me, leaving me scratching my head...not being able to jump to a system saying it exceeds my fuel and I'm like "but it's only the next system away"...and they aren't hundreds of light years away...I can't remember how many LY away they are...but I couldn't understand why you couldn't jump to the next system...that left me using a load of fuel as I was trying to make my way across the galaxy to get out the hell hole I'm in.

In fact it definitely happened. I remember I was trying to get across the galaxy and I came to a dead end - couldn't jump to the next system and yet I was full of fuel. I took it as a limitation of my Sidey and decided to abandon my travels.

Something else about travelling by the galaxy map came up last night...I set Morkosh as my destination which showed all orange travel lines and was only two systems away. When I went back to the cockpit, I selected the right panel and scrolled down to Morkosh only to see it marked in red - couldn't select it to jump to - not enough fuel given my loadout of 3 military plans???

So I selected the previous destination of Grantham (or something) and jumped there, fully expecting to require refuelling at the station there...but I saw Morkosh through my cockpit window, so selected it and hyperdrived to it. So I could jump to it, the galaxy map said I could jump to it, but the left panel in the cockpit said I couldn't do it and forced me to change my plans - even though in the end I could jump to it.

I tell you - the galaxy map and travelling is screwy and it's given me headaches in the past.

And JH - I saw your message last night. A little light in a dark wilderness. Unfortunately, it took me about 10-15 minutes to find out how to reply....I haven't "in-game" chatted before.

Keep reading my posts in the thread, I solved the problem! It was my frame shift drive. The higher tier drives have less mass and can use more fuel per jump permitting longer distance single jumps. At the time, the most fuel I could use per jump was .60 tons which translated to about 5.05 LY. I upgraded to an FSD that permits me to use 1.20 tons which translates to a single jump distance of over 8 LY, a significant difference. I have much longer range now and make further single jumps.

What I'm learning is that when something doesn't seem to be working, the problem is usually with me and not the game.

The reason I appeared to not carry on reading was because I followed the link this morning from my email at 6 when I got up. That took me to your post. I then posted, in my eagerness to post prior to getting breakfast going, having what you were saying hit a chord with myself.

So I wasn't ignoring the rest of your posts (or the whole page that followed either). I simply thought the link was taking me to the last post made and replied with too much haste

The Kill Warrant Scanner shows you all bounties on the target. That means if they have a bounty in territory controlled by the Federation, the Alliance and the Free Eravates, you will see all three bounties and be able to collect all three. The basic scanner just shows you if there is a bounty in the territory you are presently located within. Therefore, taking down someone with a 3,000 credit bounty in Federation space may also yield you additional bounties from other territories.

Is this playing up for anyone tonight? I'm having the same problems I had on launch...the launcher just sits there. I can't start the game. I can't end the launcher program...it requires a reboot
