...just in case you couldn't find it on Steam, here's the link 😁.  I was not familiar with Khet, but the steam sale page caught my eye. I have only briefly tried it out, but it looks like it will be fun/challenging.

I bought Distant World sometime ago, and am mostly disappointed with it.  I am hoping that EU may provide a different gaming experience.

It's... pretty different.

@Jason...Perhaps I should explain.   Distant Worlds came highly recommended.  I was hoping for a good EEEE game that was manageable.  What I found was a highly imbalanced game where random acts - like sudden declarations of war by races I had never met, massive invasion fleets, and the background story events - made it nigh impossible to build an empire that could last.  Unless I completely nerfed the game.
What I am hoping to find in EU is a game where the decisions I make actually have some kind of realistic effect on the world, and there is a reasonable possibility of playing out a scenario, campaign, etc with say a 40% chance of "winning".  I had games in DW where I had almost completely exhausted the tech tree and I was STILL getting wasted by an enemy who was sending in armadas with 50+ ships.
