Looking forward to getting this.  Updates of 3 games (or 4 games?) with a new engine (CO2) is a great deal.

But:  a)  Hope it runs on XP, all I have at the moment  (it's not supported);  and
         b)  Finding and navigating the lock N load site is a pain (they should have tried a more unique name.)

The official answer as of yesterday is "no" as well as "not supported anymore".

Is all of this stuff with LnL digital games related to this news about Mark Walker...I always thought he was LnL publishing.

let's keep this one focused on Command Ops :)

Seems like a good deal, had Red Devils once, and thought about getting COTA at one time.  Sorta miss Crete, maybe it's time to go back.  Pass the tzatziki .

I think the bundle is the way to go here. You certainly get alot of superb gaming for that price esp if you haven't bought any of the previous versions or own just one or two, even if you have them all it's worth re buying.

Saying that I can't help but being a touch disappointed that mounted ops wasn't a new feature and the No 1 new feature at that, as things like the East front scenarios and Bil's platoon scale game are off the cards until it's implemented. Fingers crossed it isn't to far away.

As for the split I do think it's Slitherines  loss and Lock N Loads gain. Command Ops was, along with Flashpoint Campaigns, the major titles I had a real interest in over there.

:D

I don't have any news, I'm just trolling for some because I'm lazy, thus giving someone (anyone) else the opportunity to alert us all on how things are going here.

On the other hand, for all I know it released weeks ago.  :-[

Hi all. I have finished off all outstanding tasks bar the issue of the disbanding bases as reported by Peter this morning and the need to replace the file icons we use. The current ones have BFTB all over them. Hopefully Marc von Martial who did the current set can work up a new set asap. On Monday I will look into the disbanding bases issue and then upload all the files to LNL who will then prepare the installer. We will need to test this before we can make it publically available. We ARE close. CO2 is coming.:)

I managed to be slightly less lazy and checked the forum. Go meeee!  O:-) (And go Dave and Marc!  :smitten: )

I went over there for a lazy browse a few days ago and ended up spending 2 days redesigning the logos.  In the middle of buying a house.  I just couldn't resist a challenge.. :uglystupid2: Still, it got me a free copy, cheers again Dave! O0

I saw that over there and was nice to see Dave give the audience a chance to participate, especially since you scored a nice free copy of the game:)

I was nervous when these guys changed publishers but now I'm delighted. I'm very much looking forward to this. Instant buy for me.

I was actually the opposite, I thought the change was good and needed based on perceptions.  It always seemed (don't know whether true or not) that Command Ops took a back seat to every other game at Matrix and was always considered a lower priority for them, I am guessing because it likely had a smaller audience then their other games.  It seemed when patches and new products were ready, Command Ops always seemed to get sent to the back of the line for release.  My hope with them being at the new company is that we will see more frequent new updates and materials to keep things fresh and expand a good system to areas not explored.  If it turns out to be the same as with Matrix, then I guess having a new publisher won't matter much, only time will tell.  Hopefully the new company will have the same marketing power for computer games as Matrix since they certainly had a large audience of computer gamers to capture as they were exploring other products.  Although the new company can certainly capture their existing audience of board gamers and hopefully convert some to computer gamers.  I certainly wish them the best and will be interested in other computer game products they might sell.

Either way, anxiously await the next version and to see how this product line evolves in the future....

I should probably mention here if I haven't done so recently, that ComOps2 is one of my pre-designated exceptions to my resolution to mostly not buy new games this year. :)

Uh-uh...no way...nossir.

Buy this and resolve has fallen like...a thing that falls, sir!

You must sit here, with your character and resistance intact, while others describe the wonders of this "if you don't have this you are no wargamer" purchase to you.  With little description, no pictures, and a lot of "oooh, that's cool!"

Best,

Jim
