Nah, I know places on the Interwebs where the light barely shines that you can watch just about anything for free, even first-run movies that just opened in theatres. I try not to do that as it ruins the experience with movies (though I've admitted more than once I can't stand the movie-going experience now thanks to sh!t advertising) but for TV shows I have zero problem with it, if it means I can (a) avoid commercials and (b) get to watch something I like several episodes in a row. Quality tends to be hit-or-miss so I tend to just stick with Netflix.

So Agent Carter finished-up last night and it was a pretty good series if you missed it. Now ABC's advertising the return of Agents of Shield next week as, The Women of Shield. I wonder if that means Colson won't be along. I can't imagine watching without him. Hope they don't change him into Ms. Colson. :o

I'm sure the Women of Shield promo is just that, a promotion aimed at a demographic they're hoping will carry back over from the Agent Carter prequel. It makes sense, and given the female talent on the show is legitimately justifiable, but it doesn't mean any of the guys will be going anywhere.

(Though considering that in the comics a particular character on the show once became the head of Shield, it seems likely the end game is for Agent Coulsen to die or pass the reins.)

Meanwhile, over at the Distinguished Competition... (do we have an Arrow/Flash thread??)

Maybe I shouldn't have been surprised that "Arrow" took the plot even farther into Batman territory, but I was legitimately surprised. Given some of the discussion about Nyssa's tensions with her dad over her love of Sarah (nicknamed "Talia" in the show, which frankly is edging into creepy territory since in the comics they're sisters -- amusingly Caty Loitz guest-starred as the voice-over lead-out this week, using the Talia name of her character), I'd bet a Coke Ra's will be trying to get Ollie to marry her soon! Thus further strengthenin the plot-from-Batman parallels.

Also, I wonder if the writers have any plans for A.T.O.M to ever be more than an Iron Man via Blue Beetle stand-in. (Ted Kord had been briefly established back in the first or early second season, but somehow the producers didn't get the rights to use him further, so they replaced him with the Atom, Ray Palmer.)
